Finishing
In addition to our on-site manufacturing plant, Macemain + Amstad site factilities houses a 16,000 Sq. ft. purpose built finishing factory unit.
This is completely dedicated to our specialist finishing plant, one of very few automated PPA thermal plastic coating lines in the UK.
The finishing plant also houses one of the largest camel back ovens for polyester powder coating.
These specialist facilities are all operated by our own professionally skilled workforce.
Catering for all your design and manufacturing requirements, Macemain + Amstad have the capabilities in-house to manufacture and finish all street furniture on-site.
Additional benefits pre-treatment facilities
The company operates a coating plant that has a seven stage pre-treatment capability for aluminum and galvanized steel.
Having emerged from the drying ovens, products are either polyester powder coated to the chosen colour specification.
Any RAL or BS (PPC - Polyester Powder Coated) colours can be used, or thermal plastic coated (PPA - Polymer Performance Alloy coating) in one of the company’s eight standard colours. Clients specify their choice of colour.

Anti-graffiti coatings are available on metal and glass surfaces as an optional extra.

Macemain + Amstad manufacture to the highest standards possible, and are constantly seeking ways to follow the highest manufacturing standards. Currently we work to the following standards;
- Stainless steel – Grade 316 - EN 10088-1 – Technical Properties, ISO 9001/2000 registered suppliers
- Mild Steel – hot dipped galvanizing for Steel – BS EN ISO 1461, electro statically powder coated.
- Glass – Edgework BS 952
- Aluminum – EN 485-2 – Technical Properties, for some projects, if required, alumimum is anodized to BS EN 1237 3-1: 2001, electro statically powder coated, ISO 9001/2000 registered suppliers
- Chromate pre-treatment – BS EN 12487: 2000 – this part of our finishing process specifically increases the longevity of all our street furniture.
